GENERAL : BEARGEARusa.com is run by 2 guys ; Brett & Pat from Indiana , Pat does the IT/website work and helps out at some bear runs while Brett [ bearbrett ] does the art & design , the business side of the operations and the travelling to vend at 12-16 bear runs a year. HISTORY of BEARGEARusa.com : Beargearusa was started in 2006 by 2 guys from Orlando Florida , Matt & Ian . In january 2009 brett from beartshirts.com purchased the rights to the beargearusa name/logo & it's tee shirt designs. Bearbrett has been designing bear logos and t shirts designs since 1996 for the bear community and has been selling them at bear events since 2005. BEARGEARusa.com became brett's full time career in dec. 2007 when he also started selling bear t shirts at bear events around the usa. & also online in october 2008
BACKGROUND : Before 2007 Brett worked as an Industrial/Product Designer for Philips in both Australia , Holland & France & later for GE/RCA in the USA. ( traveling & working extensively through europe , asia and oceania ] He has designed many household consumer electronic devices : Televisions , CD/DVD Players , Boom-boxes , Stereo systems , Telephones & Alarm clocks etc. which have been mass produced & sold in their millions at Walmart. Brett is originally from sunny Sydney , Australia
